Your First Visit:
Drink plenty of water prior to your massage. Dehydrated tissue is harder to work with and not as pleasant for the client.
Arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a health form which will be reviewed to help determine what area to focus on and what type of massage will benefit you most.
The office setting has a private room with a massage table, fresh linens, soft music and dim lighting for a relaxing environment.
During massage, breath slowly and deeply. This will help reduce tension and will assist in the flow of blood and oxygen to the restricted muscle tissue.
To prolong the effects of your massage drink plenty of water to encourage the removal of waste products that therapy has released. Half of your body weight in ounces of water is recommended on a daily basis.
Proper stretching will be helpful in maintaining the increased flexibility that you will experience from the massage.
Testimonials:
As a dentist my back tends to hurt me ever so often. My experiences with Chiropractors have left me with large bills and few results. Then I found Posture Logic and Aurora. Immediately you can see her passion for what she does. She has a thorough understanding of anatomy and muscle physiology. In a few short sessions my back has not felt better in years. I highly recommend Aurora to anyone looking to pamper themselves or individuals that have issues with pain.

Finding a massage therapist I can send my patients to is very important. Supporting the integrity of the holding process is key to long term healing, and I know that when I send someone to Aurora they are in excellent hands (Pun Intended) ! She is so skilled in her work and her attention to detail is phenomenal! There is no one else I would refer my patients to.

Aurora's approach to Posture Logic is in line with my own for my athletes, clients, and boot campers. I believe if you are lined up, set up, and walking straight then you can perform and stay in the game. After having massage sessions with Aurora, I have benefited from straighter posture. In addition she has taught me consistently the importance of being aware of it.

Aurora has the magic touch. But there is nothing mysterious about her magical ability to massage. She is skilled and knowledgeable about the body and its anatomy. She knows every muscle detail and has just the right touch in releasing those knotted tension spots and fatigued limbs and joints. She is very experienced and knows what she's doing. But what I value most about Aurora is her professionalism and genuine interest in helping you feel better. You won't be disappointed.

STATIC BACK
The static back exercise is recommended by Pete Egoscue, a San Diego, California-based anatomical physiologist and the author of "Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain." Egoscue recommends this exercise to help relax tight muscles. It also helps align your head and neck with the rest of your spine. Perform this exercise by lying on your back, your legs and hips bent at right angles and your calves resting on a chair, bench or block. Rest your extended arms and your hands, palms up, on the floor at your side, away from your body, but below shoulder level. Let your back sink into the floor. Practice belly breathing. Your abdomen should rise when you breathe in and fall when you breathe out. Maintain your position for 10 minutes. Perform this exercise one time per day.
